Spooky Coffee Filter Lollipop Ghosts
Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or educator, chances are you’ve got some coffee filters lying around. If they’re not already full of coffee, filters are valuable craft supplies and key to these hauntingly cute (and sweet) little ghosts.
What is at the center of a friendly ghost? A lollipop, of course!
What you’ll need
- Lollipops (big, rounded ones)
- White coffee filters
- Tiny rubber bands or twist ties
- Ribbon or twine
- Thick black marker
Instructions
- Wrap 3 coffee filters over the lollipop and hold them in place with a rubber band or twist-tie.
- Tie a length of ribbon or twine around the ghost’s “neck” to secure everything nicely.
- Use the black marker to draw spooky faces!
Tasty Marshmallow Monster Morsels
What’s more fun than a Halloween craft? A Halloween craft you can eat! This is a super simple activity for all ages and works perfectly as a transition from craft time to snack time.
Will your squishy monstrous morsel be spooky, silly, or 90% frosting? Whatever you decide, it’s sure to be delicious!
What you’ll need
- Large marshmallows
- Your favorite frosting (in spooky colors!)
- Toothpicks or paper straws
- Small chocolates/candies
- Sprinkles and/or sparkling sugar
Next, decorate your marshmallow monster using the frosting, candy, and/or sprinkles. Will you make a smiley orange pumpkin? Frankenstein’s green monster? Let your imagination (or taste buds) guide you!
Spindly Pinecone Spiders
What has 8 legs and 8 eyes and is super cute? A pinecone spider – and only a pinecone spider, thank you very much!
What you’ll need
- Pinecones from a trip to the park or a walk in the woods
- Googly eyes
- Brown pipe cleaners
- Scissors
- Hot-glue gun (adult supervision required)
Instructions
- Wrap 4 long pipe cleaners around the pinecone to create 8 spindly “legs” for your spider.
- Next, attach as many googly eyes as you like using hot glue or sticky tack. If using hot glue, adult supervision is a must!
